When you use Fish IQ, we collect: account details (name, email); fishing spot data you enter, including GPS coordinates; catch logs (species, quantity, weight, photos, notes); and subscription/billing details processed by Stripe.
We use your data to operate the App, including displaying your spots and catches, generating AI fishing recommendations, calculating statistics, enabling spot sharing with collaborators you invite, and processing subscription payments.
Some features send your fishing data (such as location and catch history) to AI models to generate tide detection and fishing advice. This data is used solely to generate your results and is not used to train models.
We do not sell your personal data. Spot details are only shared with collaborators you explicitly invite. Payment information is handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We may share data if required by law.
Your data is stored securely on our hosting infrastructure. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
You can edit or delete your spots and catches at any time. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us through the App's support channel.
GPS coordinates are only captured when you choose to add them to a fishing spot. You can use the App without sharing location data, though some features (like automatic tide detection) will be unavailable.
Fish IQ is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
